Long Vacation (with Wittgenstein) 6' 28" video 2001
Long Vacation.... was an experiment, made during a residency in Trondheim, Norway. While there, I struggled to find a project and think beyond the ‘prettiness’ of the landscape – so I collected tourist postcards exhibiting this quality.
I also discovered Wittgenstein had spent some time in the small, fjord-side village of Skjolden, in central Norway. He had a hut built there as apparently he liked the quiet and isolation to write.
During my stay, the mist and fog descended almost daily on the town.
